Superman: The Movie (1978) (3.5/4)

Superman: The Movie

Although bittersweet to watch the young, healthy Christopher Reeve, this is a marvelously entertaining movie and probably the best of the superhero genre. The movie tells the story of Superman from infancy, as he grows up in Kansas and moves to Metropolis and assumes the dual identities of mild mannered reporter Clark Kent and crime fighting superhero Superman. He battles Lex Luther who wants to steal some nukes and cause a giant earthquake in California. Don't miss it.
